Yes, members of CAST do receive Task Force Reports, Interpretive Summaries, Special Publications, Issue Papers, CAST Commentaries, “Friday Notes,” and complimentary web access to all CAST publications during the term of their membership.  But in response to worldwide “green” initiatives, we are notifying our members of all new releases via email and postcard and asking them to view and/or print the electronic versions of publications from our website. 

We also are happy to mail a complimentary copy of a publication to any member by request.  In this way, we can greatly reduce the waste of natural and fiscal resources involved in the printing and posting of copies for members with no interest in the current subject matter. This also will expedite distribution of the publication as members can view it immediately upon release rather than waiting for the mail carrier. CAST members still may request a complimentary hardcopy by contacting the CAST office at 515-292-2125 or by visiting us here on our website.

To access publications on the website, do the following from the CAST home page (www.cast-science.org):

§  Enter your ID and password into the Member Login window on the right-hand column of the page and click Login.  NOTE: If you have any difficulty with this process or need to request your ID and password, please contact CAST at 515-292-2125 or cast@cast-science.org

§  Click on Publications List in the left-hand column of the page.

§  You may select a specific publication type from the drop-down menu, use the search field at the top of the page, or simply scroll through the complete publications listings in the center of the page.

§  Once you have selected a publication for download you will go to the table at the bottom of the listing. Click on the Online/Downloadable delivery method and click the Add to Cart button. NOTE: there will be a $0 total in the shopping cart for members. Click Submit.

§  The order will again display with your complete member information below. Click Submit again to complete order.

§  A pop-up window will appear that reads: “You may download your files by clicking the “Download Now” link next to the product name on your receipt.” Click OK.

§  Click the “Download Now” hyperlink.

§  When the Adobe Acrobat screen opens, save to your computer and enjoy the latest CAST publication.
