The CAST Pulse Podcast continues this week with a conversation that connects science, policy, and on-farm sustainability.

In Episode 3, host Carlos Vianna introduces a full interview led by Kaylee Kleitsch, CAST’s Programs and Engagement Manager, featuring Lauren Lurkins, Senior Policy Advisor for the Agricultural Nutrient Policy Council (ANPC), and Adam Herges, Sustainability Agronomist with The Mosaic Company and an ANPC Board Member.

Together, they discuss the Council’s new report—

“The Role of Herbicides in the Success of Agriculture’s Foundation for Conservation and Environmental Objectives.”

The conversation explores how herbicides enable conservation practices such as no-till and cover crops, why these tools are vital for soil health and water quality, and how science-based decision-making should guide future agricultural policy.
