Alejandro Andrade-Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Veterinary & Rangeland Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. His research focuses on improving irrigation water management in arid and semi-arid regions through the application of advanced engineering approaches, including artificial intelligence, optimization methods, and precision irrigation technologies. Dr. Andrade-Rodriguez develops practical, user-friendly decision support systems that help farmers reduce water use while sustaining crop productivity. He earned his B.S. from Universidad Autónoma Chapingo and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
