CAST is happy to welcome three new interns who bring diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives to our organization.
These interns exemplify the next generation of agricultural leaders, bringing enthusiasm and diverse experiences to CAST. Their backgrounds in various aspects of agriculture, from policy to production, will contribute valuable perspectives to our organization. Please join us in welcoming Alley, Nora, and Savanna to the CAST team.

Alley Odland
Alley Odland steps into the role of Communications Assistant while working toward her Animal Science degree with a Swine Certification at Iowa State University. A Webster City, Iowa native, Alley grew up on her family's farm, developing hands-on experience in raising and showing pigs. Her commitment to agriculture extends beyond academics through her involvement in various Iowa State clubs, including Block and Bridle, Swine Production Advocates, and Bacon Expo. Alley balances her professional pursuits with an active lifestyle, enjoying intramural volleyball, pickleball, and outdoor activities.

Nora Ryan
Nora Ryan joins us as a Membership Assistant while pursuing her studies in Precision Agriculture, Agribusiness, and Farm Management at Ellsworth Community College. Hailing from Cresco, Iowa, near the Minnesota border, Nora demonstrates leadership in the agricultural community through her roles as Iowa PAS Vice President and National PAS Secretary. When she's not advancing agricultural initiatives, Nora enjoys expressing her creativity through crocheting clothes and stuffed animals.

Savanna Gratny
Also serving as a Membership Assistant is Savanna Gratny, a sophomore at Iowa State University. Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agricultural and Rural Policy Studies with a co-major in Political Science, Savanna brings valuable experience from her upbringing in Livermore, California, where she was actively involved in showing cattle and FFA activities. Her passion for agricultural policy and rural development is evident in her campus involvement, including her participation in the professional agricultural sorority Sigma Alpha and her role in the Legislative Ambassador program through Iowa State Student Government.
